The German camel active collection for men's clothing was born in the mid 70's thanks to the exciting adventure of the Kameltrophy, which takes place annually in different parts of the world. Teams in yellow LAND ROVER off-road vehicles took on incredible challenges in the humid tropics of South America, the endless expanses of the Gobi desert, the rough roads of Siberia and the uninhabited islands of the Pacific.

The need to develop the right technical outfit for the participants led to the development of a freestyle collection using the latest materials and technologies. However, it quickly became popular not only with the members of the Camel Trophy team. Growing interest from those unable to attend the next annual competition prompted brand owner WBI (Worldwide Brands Inc.) to launch their first clothing line in 1977.
